The heart triplex provides information about its structure and function, for the existence of stenosis or insufficiency of the valves and the large vessels that surround it. In addition to the shape and dimensions of the heart, the doctor can accurately check the systolic and diastolic function of the heart, the existence of scarring in the myocardium as a consequence of a previous infarction, the presence of a mass, tumor or clot and diagnose congenital heart diseases. During the examination, hemodynamic measurements can also be made (measurement of pressures in the heart chambers, quantification of insufficiency, etc.).
